    Worksite Designation: Hybrid

    The position is defined as a hybrid position: Live in the Puget Sound Region of the State of Washington with a reasonable commute to Renton, WA. Approximately 60% of the work is in-person in various partner locations, 40% is telework from home, and 10% at office. Must go to partner locations or come into the office on an as-needed basis.

    Organizational Overview:

    The SEIU Healthcare 1199NW Multi-Employer Training Fund (Training Fund) is a non-profit, labor/management partnership including eight major healthcare employers and the largest healthcare union in Washington State. The Training Fund was formed in 2008 and is a statewide program that addresses the workforce needs of participating employers and supports the career, knowledge, and skill aspirations of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members.The Training Fund is the sponsor of the state-registered Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) and of the Virtual Healthcare Institute (VHI) serving a range of regional employers, unions, union members, and student candidates.

    Position Overview:

    The Outreach Coordinator is responsible coordinating, overseeing, and facilitating marketing and promotional outreach (digital and non-digital channels) and community relations, to support the Strategic Plan of the SEIU Healthcare 1199NW Multi-Employer Training and Education Fund (Training Fund). This position will report to the Manager- Trust Partnerships, and is expected to work as an integral member of the Partnership team, balancing independent initiative with department schedules and priorities to maximize member/participant outreach.

    This position plays a crucial role in facilitating, optimizing, and supporting overall outreach coordination and supporting member/participant outreach strategies for the Training Fund’s outreach staff to maximize member/participant utilization. In collaboration with the Manager-Trust Partnerships, they are able to implement outreach and effective communication strategies to connect with diverse membership and stakeholders. This requires demonstrated proficiency and experience in coordination of team schedules, conducting surveys, feedback research, maximizing utilization channels (online and offline) for outreach and message distribution, and consistently monitoring outreach/utilization key performance indicators to refine outreach strategies. The role also serves as a Training Fund ambassador at outreach events supporting awareness of benefit offerings. Experience with communication and outreach to people from diverse cultural, linguistic, racial and socio-economic backgrounds is also a priority. This position, along with others in the Training Fund, is responsible for the safe, professional, and equal opportunity operation of all Training Fund activities.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Incumbent must have the skills, abilities and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:

    Outreach Strategy Coordination:

    • Co-develop (with direct supervisor) and execute outreach strategies, based on the Training Fund’s outreach objectives and vision.
    • Coordinate outreach campaigns to maximize member utilization. Outreach strategies include online and in person channels and engagement – including bulk emails and texting, CRM, etc.
    • Organize and coordinate outreach event initiatives along with ensuring that required items are coordinated, provided for key stakeholders as requested ensuring all necessary material is supported.
    • Attend and Supports outreach events as scheduled.
    • Support the planning, logistical support, and implementation of outreach events for the Training Fund and its Regional Education Navigators, Partner Liaisons and other staff (e.g., workshops, symposia, info tables, etc.). This includes assistance with: venue schedules, coordinating supplies and materials, arranging publicity, tracking attendees, and post-event follow-up communication.
    • Support and coordinate a peer-based ambassador program at various locations under the supervision of the Manager- Trust Partnerships.
    • Support coordination with the Partnership team for community engagement opportunities for Training Fund staff.

    Build engagement and followers:

    • Support in person engagement activities at Trust and Community locations.
    • Support increased member/participation utilization through coordinated strategic initiatives.
    • Optimize digital and non-digital – including in-person – channels to promote engagement and build subscribers.
    • Support and implement online messaging (including email, social media, and texting) including SEM, mobile, and social networking in coordination with the Partnerships team to increase awareness.
    • Monitor analytics and conduct research-based feedback (surveys, focus groups, etc.) to identify performance metrics, engagement trends, and optimize outreach tactics.
    • Monitor & optimize analytics and engagement: including performance metrics, surveys & feedback research, keyword and other key performance indicators to maximize awareness and engagement for members/participants.
    • Develop and maintain database, SharePoint, and other platforms which includes campaign timelines, contacts, communications, status and results.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • At least 3 years’ experience in communications and outreach with a proven track record in developing and implementing communications, marketing, and outreach campaigns;
    • Proven skills in outreach management (sales, business development, digital and social media, texting, CRM, etc.) and analytics;
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing market research and/or feedback processes (e.g., surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.), and generating concise and comprehensive reports;
    • Proven record of cultivating and managing team member relationships (e.g., team management, volunteer coordination, etc.), including project coordination to achieve pre-established outcomes;
    • Ability to problem solve, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prioritize & organize multiple projects and schedules;
    • Ability to remain self-motivated and achieve team-oriented results with ambiguous tasks, tight deadlines, and limited oversight;
    • Exceptional communication skills including: presentation, reading comprehension, writing and editing, data analysis, and organizational/research skills;
    • Ability to follow privacy policies (like the Health Insurance portability and Accountability Act, aka HIPAA) and respect confidential information.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor;
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud-based, and Windows-based computer applications;
    • Experience working with Salesforce, and Project Management tools and platforms, e.g., Monday. com.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Proven track record in research methodology, analytics, and audience engagement strategies.
    • Knowledge of healthcare workforce development and higher education systems.
    • Experience or understanding of unions and ability to work in a labor/management environment.

    Required Items:

    • Successful completion of background check is required
    • Needs to live in or move to the State of Washington in assigned region.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, publicrelations, or related field and three years of marketing/outreach experience; or equivalent education/experience.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
    • Must be able to access and navigate the TF’s facilities, partner organizations, and classroom locations

    Compensation:

    • Compensation Range: $29.00-$38.59 per hour, DOE
    • FTE, non-exempt position.
    • Grant funded through June 2026. Role will be extended if funding is renewed.
