    Position Overview:

    The Community & Family Program Manager is a key team member responsible for planning, leading, and evaluating our multi-generational programs. This individual will guide participants through immersive, engaging activities that connect them with the medicine of the mountains, and increase their sense of belonging and identity. The ideal candidate is passionate about outdoor education, skilled in group facilitation, understands the impact of consistent data gathering and feedback, and is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Delivery:

    • Lead and facilitate Community & Family programs, including nature hikes, rock/ice climbing, horse activities, fishing, winter activities, team-building activities,
    • Support and facilitate Youth Programs in and out of school, including classroom curriculum/lessons, and all outdoor activities listed above
    • Adapt program content to meet the needs of diverse audiences, including youth, adults, and underserved communities.
    • Ensure safety by adhering to organizational policies, risk management protocols, and best practices.

    Program Planning and Development:

    • Assist in designing and preparing materials, plans, and activity schedules.
    • Set up and break down program sites, ensuring all equipment and materials are in good condition.
    • Collaborate with the Youth Program Manager and Executive Leadership to evaluate and improve program effectiveness.

    Participant Engagement:

    • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants feel a sense of belonging, are respected and valued.
    • Build positive relationships with participants, families, and partner organizations.
    • Act as a mentor and role model, promoting teamwork, curiosity, and environmental stewardship.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Document program activities, attendance, and incidents as required.
    • Complete all required grant reporting
    • Provide feedback and reports to Executive Leadership on program outcomes and participant experiences.
    • Support fundraising events, community outreach, and organizational initiatives as needed.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other programs position
    • Experience and comfort facilitating and leading youth and adults
    • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
    • Excellent knowledge of Google Suite; ability to learn additional data management/reporting programs as necessary.
    • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving ability
    • Outdoor program experience (i.e., camping/hiking/hunting/fishing/climbing, etc - preferred)
    • Bilingual (preferred)

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

    Benefits include a $400/month healthcare stipend, as well as a generous PTO and flexible remote work policy, including 3 weeks of paid vacation in addition to PTO.
