    Description

    Oliverian seeks a Dorm Parent & Music Teacher to live in the dorm, teaching and modeling the development of independent living skills, and also to teach music classes, facilitate the student rock band, and spearhead our coffeehouse music performances.

    Specific areas of function will include:

    • Living in the dormitory with the students and providing supervision, support, and programming each weekday afternoon and evening and every fourth weekend.
    • Building developmental relationships with each student in the dorm, with an individualized focus on independent living skills, healthy social engagement, and productive use of free time.
    • Teaching music classes to students with a wide range of experience and skill, helping students work together in a band as well as to work toward their own music goals.

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree or higher and experience in education or youth development. Valid driver’s license required.
