    • Implement robust internal controls to protect organizational assets and ensure compliance with established financial procedures.
    • Support ongoing audit readiness; coordinate and lead the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules and documentation.

    Grant & Fund Management

    • Track and report on multiple funding sources, including restricted, unrestricted, and temporarily restricted funds.
    • Collaborate with the Development and Grants teams to ensure proper recognition, allocation, and release of donor-restricted funds.
    • Monitor grant budgets, support compliance with funding terms, and provide timely financial reports to Program and Development staff.

    Team Leadership & Collaboration

    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and performance excellence.
    • Work closely with the Program, Development, Operations, and HR teams to ensure integrated financial operations and efficient workflows.
    • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

    • Evaluate current financial systems and processes; recommend and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Contribute to implementing and maintaining accounting software and related systems, including integration with donor and CRM platforms.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
