    Description

    The Bretton Woods Committee (BWC), the preeminent non-profit organization dedicated to effective global economic and financial cooperation, seeks a Membership Associate to join our team and support individual membership growth and retention.

    This individual will work to support the membership team in executing BWC’s individual membership program across all aspects of the membership life cycle. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated young professional to grow their fundraising/development/membership skillset and gain valuable hands-on experience at a growing and fast paced non-profit organization. Candidates who are self-starters, learn quickly, and have strong organizational or project management skills will excel in our fast-paced and growing organization.     Responsibilities

    • Manage all aspects of the BWC individual membership portfolio including recruitment and onboarding of new members. Conduct informational calls with recruits as necessary.
    • Oversee and lead the annual membership renewal process for individual members adhering to strict timelines
    • Develop and execute individual member-specific stewardship strategies including periodic check-ins with new members
    • Research to identify strategic pipelines of prospective members, and grow the portfolio of engaged individuals and who value the BWC mission
    • Conduct due diligence on new member nominations and provide assessments to the Development Manager on membership suitability
    • Write and send correspondence including, but not limited to, solicitation emails or letters, event invitations, periodic updates on our work, and thank you notes
    • Help execute stewardship events (luncheons, dinners, receptions, etc. - some evenings and travel may be required)
    • Ensure all individual fundraising, solicitation, and general engagement and communication activities are captured in our CRM in a timely manner
    • Serve as an advocate for member data stewardship, both within and outside of the database, recommending best practices and documenting new procedures.
    • Support the membership team in its use of Neon CRM, social media, and the BWC website
    • Answer and route incoming phone calls
    • Monitor membership-wide email inbox, and lead triaging and responding to inquiries
    • Anticipate questions and provide timely, accurate information to members and assist with their understanding of the value of membership in BWC
    • Assist with office administration activities as necessary

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and maintain disciplined adherence to departmental and organizational goals.
    • Confident oral and written communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills and adept at communicating about BWC membership and the organization's mission, interests, and impact
    • Demonstrated project management experience
    • Proficiency in CRM database, Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience working in the context of senior officials and C-suite executives while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strong customer service orientation
    • 1-2 years of professional experience; prior development, fundraising, operational, or member services experience preferred
    • Degree in international affairs (economics, development, etc.), business, finance, administration, non-profit management, or related fields preferred
    • Interest in global financial issues and/or international development a plus

    Position is DMV-based. Work is mostly done remotely, with two in-person days currently required per week for DMV-based staff (subject to change).

    Salary and benefits

    $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 dependent upon experience; employer sponsored health care, dental, & vision, 401k plans; paid vacation/sick leave; 15 paid holidays.
