    Description

    We are looking for a Program Director who cares deeply about the needs and strengths of women, particularly those who are pushed to the margins. This facilitative leader must have the ability and dedication to work collaboratively across race, class, and culture to build powerful relationships and engage the leadership skills of the members of this dynamic community. This person will have the skills to continue to build a sound financial foundation for Women Thriving, while at the same time partnering with the Board to implement the organization’s efforts to deepen our engagement.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Program Management & Operations

    Consistent with our program model, mission, values, and strategic direction:

    • Build strong relationships with women in the community who are currently engaging in Women Thriving programming or may be interested in engaging in the future
    • Collaborate with the Board’s Programming Committee to identify and engage diverse communities throughout Brookline to sustain programming and develop new initiatives
    • Provide regular support and supervision to group facilitators, intern(s), and community-based Leadership Corps members.
    • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders in the Thriving community and create new partnerships.
    • Oversee ongoing evaluation of programming, both through data collection and a regular feedback loop with participants.

    Resource and Organizational Development

    • Work closely with Board to guide and implement multi-year resource development strategy for long-term financial stability and growth, including through fundraising, donor stewardship, grant-seeking and management, and corporate and community partnerships.

    Financial Management, Oversight and Reporting

    • Work with the Board Treasurer and bookkeeper to develop the annual budget and ensure proper financial, legal, and organization record-keeping, controls, and compliance, including required filings and reports.

    Desired Qualifications and Experience

    • Commitment to the economic and personal empowerment of all women
    • Experience working within a diverse community and demonstrated commitment to addressing issues of social and racial justice, inclusion, and equity
    • Strong written and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks Online or other financial management and accounting software.
    • Experience in program management.
    • Experience with fundraising, including individual donors, events and grant applications..
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Bilingual/bicultural applicants encouraged to apply.

    Time Commitment

    25-30 hours/week. This position can be flexibly scheduled and will be a combination of remote and in-person work, with both day hours as well as ability to attend evening events and meetings. Note that Women Thriving, Inc. does not have a physical office location.

    Salary

    $37-$40/hour. Paid time off is offered as a benefit. We want you to grow with us.
