    Position Overview

    The Executive Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Executive Assistant’s responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks critical to the organization's efficient operations. This position is privy to and has routine access to confidential and sensitive information and documents, including those protected by attorney-client privilege. Therefore, the Executive Assistant must exercise professional judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate with the utmost discretion in all tasks. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

    This position requires an on-site presence in the office 4 days per week to support in-person collaboration, engagement, and operational effectiveness.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide high-level support for both the day-to-day and more complex administrative needs of the CEO, including managing calendars and schedules, facilitating interpersonal communications, coordinating travel logistics, preparing expense reports, and addressing other administrative requirements.
    • Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including drafting emails, letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for the CEO.
    • Arrange all travel and accommodation plans for the CEO.
    • Provides Board-related support to the CEO, including reviewing and responding to Board Member requests, scheduling meetings with Board officers, and related matters.
    • Schedules and attends meetings with and/or on behalf of the CEO, taking notes, and managing follow-up items.
    • Receives incoming communication or memos to the CEO and/or the senior executive team, reviews content, evaluates priority status, and summarizes and/or distributes content to appropriate staff.
    • Performs office tasks including maintaining records, preparing travel portfolios and briefing materials in support of executive travel and meetings, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping.
    • Provide support to members of the senior executive team, as requested by the CEO.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Salary

    Public Justice offers a mission-focused work environment, a teamwork-oriented approach, and a competitive compensation package. We offer excellent benefits, including three weeks of paid vacation, a four-day workweek, two weeks of sick leave, two personal days per year, all federal and some local holidays, employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance premiums, and a 401(k) plan.

    This is an exempt position with an expected annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.
