    Description

    Madonna Mission is seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts and grow our financial resources. This is a pivotal moment for our organization, with a current operating budget of $1,000,000 and ambitious plans for growth, including a forthcoming capital campaign.

    We are looking for a dynamic, mission-driven development professional who excels in relationship building, major gift cultivation, and donor engagement. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a thriving nonprofit dedicated to education and empowerment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set and achieve annual and long-term fundraising goals in collaboration with the Executive Director
    • Lead major donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
    • Partner with the Board Development Committee to engage and support board members in fundraising
    • Collaborate with the Associate Board on event planning and donor cultivation
    • Build and manage strategic partnerships with corporations and foundations
    • Review and support grant submissions prepared by a contracted grant writer
    • Develop and manage donor communications, including annual reports and impact materials
    • Organize and participate in donor meetings and site visits
    • Oversee donor records and gift processing in Little Green Light (CRM)
    • Plan and execute development events in partnership with the Events Committee

    • Collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including major gifts, grants, and events
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
    • Proficiency in CRM systems (Little Green Light preferred)
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary range: $110,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience
    • Health insurance and paid vacation
    • Flexible hybrid work environment
