    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

    The Vice President of Leadership Programs will oversee the general management of the program department, which includes a budget of $1.5 million, 5 staff members, and 15-30+ consultants and coaches. The VP will lead program development, delivery, evaluation, fundraising, budget setting, knowledge management, and external relationship management. This role is part of the senior management team driving HACE's strategy on a national and international scale. The Vice President reports to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates with the leadership team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Overall Program Delivery

    • Establish and implement the direction of the programs department; oversee program logistics, events (e.g., kick-off and graduation receptions), and program implementation (both in-person and virtual).
    • Guide the Director of Programs in managing direct reports, consultants, and speakers to ensure successful program delivery and participant experience.

    Program Leadership & Management

    • Ensure consistent quality in finance, administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources to achieve program goals.
    • Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their responsibility, span of control, and performance.
    • Foster inter-team communication and cohesiveness, sustain organizational culture, and support staff during growth.
    • Collaborate with the COO to develop and implement HACE’s financial strategy as it pertains to leadership and program development.
    • Supervise one direct report and 5-30 program consultants and speakers, ensuring successful program delivery and participant experience.
    • Work with HACE staff, Board of Directors, and Auxiliary Board members on fundraising events and informational seminars.
    • Hire, train, and manage Account/Program Managers or Support Team as needed.
    • Develop and report on account management plans for new hires.

    Program Design, Development, & Evaluation

    • Collaborate with corporate partners to ensure engagement and smooth delivery of programs and relevant events.
    • Generate and explore innovative ideas, translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
    • Work with the Program Director on new program content development, curriculum design, and agenda setting to maximize impact and value for participants.
    • Develop metrics to measure success in leads, partnerships, profit margins, and overall productivity.
    • Analyze and report qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants to identify successes and areas for improvement.
    • Lead the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives.

    Knowledge Management

    • Develop systems, processes, and tools to support the collection and sharing of knowledge generated by partnerships.
    • Create dissemination systems to share organizational learning with a broad range of communities.
    • Evaluate key project outcomes and leverage them for maximum community and organizational impact.
    • Collaborate with the senior management team to integrate cross-program activities and functions.
    • Support recruitment of sponsors and individual participants, identify opportunities, and engage leadership programs alumni.
    • Work with the marketing team to build press and influencer relationships and enhance HACE’s leadership programs brand.
    • Assess and attend relevant events and conferences to strengthen the leadership programs brand.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, psychology, or related field; minimum of 9+ years in nonprofit management, program management, curriculum delivery and development, leadership development, and professional/workforce development; preference for MBA/Master’s Degree.
    • Proven track record of effectively leading performance-based and outcome-based programs and staff.
    • Experience in product development and educational programs preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style.
    • Experience in program budget development and oversight.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) or willingness to learn.
    • Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment.
    • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and community programs.
    • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
    • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable with minimal direction.
    • Experience in marketing or sales-related activities.
    • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and excellence in organizational and project management.
    • Ability to achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working closely with senior leadership and executives.
    • Exceptional customer relationship skills and strong project management and execution skills.
    • Experience with online application tools and social media.
    • Willingness to travel nationwide up to 10%-20% of the time, when not in virtual programming.

    Location: Remote Position

    Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000
