    The Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by cancer and other serious diseases requiring bone marrow transplantation. We provide vital support services and resources to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the care they need during their treatment journey.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development and Events Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and expanding our fundraising efforts, coordinating events, and building lasting relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
    • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of current fundraising events and create new events and community outreach initiatives.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
    • Manage donor recognition and ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgment of all contributions.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials for events and campaigns.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential donors and stakeholders.
    • Monitor fundraising trends and adapt strategies to maximize engagement and revenue.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fundraising activities and donor interactions in the organization's database.
    • Assist with grant research to identify new funding opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or a similar role within a nonprofit organization.
    • Proven track record of successful fundraising and donor cultivation.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
    • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Passion for the mission of the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation and a commitment to supporting individuals affected by cancer.
