    BHBA is one of the country’s largest metro bar associations and a national leader in Continuing Legal Education (CLE). The Project Manager will be our collaborative staff’s “implementation quarterback,” responsible for managing a portfolio of projects related to CLE, membership, and communications. This position is fully remote, requires no travel, and interacts with all BHBA staff regularly.

    Responsibilities

      • Manage projects including but not limited to: CLE process task management (including oversight of staff and BHBA’s custom project management system in Salesforce)
      • Jobs board content (incoming from employers)
      • Pro bono hub opportunities (incoming from legal aid entities, outgoing to members)
      • Modern Lawyer e-magazine content generation from members, speakers, and CLE programs
      • Annual presidential priorities (projects, events, collaborations, etc.)
    • Work collaboratively with other staff, serve as cross-team facilitator
    • Manage two CLE staff
    • Identify potential CLE topics by monitoring: legal news, legal social media, BHBA member updates on LinkedIn, and CLE topics nationwide; recommend programs to CLE Advisor based on that monitoring
    • Recommend and implement process improvements and automations to maximize efficiency
    • Track tasks, monitor projects, and generate reports in Salesforce
    • E-file documents as created, follow brand guidelines, and otherwise maintain organized project materials
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
    • At least five years of managing projects within and among teams
    • At least two years of supervising direct reports
    • Comfortable handling high volume of tasks and exercising independent judgment about prioritizing
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office and online legal news research
    • Expertise in Salesforce preferred; expertise with a CRM and aptitude for learning required
    • Ability to be productive remotely and with limited daily supervision
    • PMP certificate preferred
    • Familiarity with legal industry preferred

    Position reports to Operations Director, but works closely with CLE Advisor and Executive Director, and will collaborate with all staff depending on project. Equal opportunity employer. Health insurance provided, with Kaiser HMO paid 100% by employer or Anthem PPO paid 75% (may substitute plan depending on availability if successful applicant is outside CA). Forty-hour work week, hourly pay, overtime eligible (but not anticipated or required). Fully remote but will need to work Pacific time business hours and be located in the United States. MacBook and other home office necessities provided, along with stipends each pay period for home office and mobile phone. Salary ranges from $40-50/hour depending on experience and location/cost of living.
