    Description

    Objective of Role: The Participant Success Manager’s (Clinician) primary duty will be to provide a range of clinical services to an assigned caseload of GOSO’s participants and accurately log client contact and progress in the salesforce database. Services include counseling, therapeutic case management, and court advocacy. The ideal candidate will assess clinical needs, create a treatment plan for each participant, and ensure the participant is receiving the support and intervention needed to achieve success. The Participant Success Manager will connect participants to GOSO’s programming as well as external programs, as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete mental health assessments, individual therapy, treatment planning, therapeutic case management, and group counseling services to systems-involved young people aged 16 to 24. Works with participants in a clinical capacity to avoid further involvement with the criminal legal system.
    • Employs a multi-model approach to individual and group psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), strengths-based, and psycho-educational approaches, trauma-informed care
    • Engages in court advocacy and care coordination with ATI and other programs, connects with community supervision to ensure compliance with parole, probation, and any other mandated programming.
    • Prepare for and participate in clinical group supervision with clinical supervisors and psychiatrists and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
    • Connects participants to internal and external programming, including housing and benefits, vocational training, educational institutions, mental health/substance abuse programming, leadership opportunities, and healthcare.
    • Collaborates with Stand Against Violence East Harlem (SAVE), GOSO's Cure Violence program, to assist participants in a clinical capacity with developing adaptive coping methods, de-escalation skills, and gang/crew and violence avoidance.
    • Ensures GOSO adheres to the NASW code of ethics.
    • Documents all contact with participants in the electronic medical record and in the Salesforce database.
    • Distributes resources as needed

    Essential Skills:

    • Energetic, resourceful, assertive, and dynamic.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Computer literate and skilled in using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Google applications,

    and related programs. Able to learn any necessary proprietary databases and software. ● Candidates must have a high level of energy to meet performance outcomes, high expectations for success of participants, and a high level of dedication to the mission of GOSO.

    Qualifications:

    • Master Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required. LMSW or LMHC preferred. LCSW

    is a plus.

    • Knowledge of the following areas preferred: criminal justice, psychotherapy modalities and approaches,

    and resource development.

    • English-Spanish Bilingual preferred.
