    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Director, Corporate Partnerships & Foundations is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the corporate giving and government grant program, which represents $5 million in annual revenue for AFSP. Working in conjunction with the Senior Director of Development, key national and chapter staff, as well as volunteer leadership, this position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of national, major and mid-level corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have significant experience building high-touch, long-term relationships with corporate and other funders as well as a demonstrated track record of soliciting and securing six-and-seven figure corporate gifts. This candidate also has key strategic planning and understanding in working with large foundations.

    The Director reports to, and works in collaboration with, the Senior Director, Development and serves as a member of the Revenue Team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create vision for national partnerships; develop and implement strategies for increasing corporate giving at the national and chapter level.
    • Collaborate with AFSP Chapters and departments to develop and update a menu of partnership opportunities for corporate partners.
    • Maintain portfolio of corporate donors.
    • Work with National Foundations to secure six and seven figure gifts.
    • Create and build aa pipeline of prospects capable of making six and seven figure gifts to AFSP and planning for the cultivation and solicitation of these prospects.
    • Work with the other leads of the Revenue Team to determine cross collaboration opportunities to grow revenue, in particular corporate sponsorships for all AFSP events.
    • Coordinate with the Communications and Marketing Team to develop collateral and promote corporate partnerships through social media and other platform opportunities.
    • Elevate and expand the corporate donor recognition program.
    • Be accountable to personal and organization goals that align with the AFSP’s strategic plan.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education Bachelor’s degree

    Experience and/or Training Minimum of 7 years of professional fundraising in corporate partnerships and engaging and raising Foundation grants.

    Technology/Equipment Comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite and able to quickly pick up CRM functionality

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education Bachelor’s degree in related field

    Experience and/or Training 10+ years’ professional fundraising experience

    Licenses/Certificates CFRE certification

    Technology/Equipment Expert level experience working with CRM and other fundraising and project management tools

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    This role can be done fully remotely within the United States. Must be available to travel, with notice, to the headquarters or other designated sites upon request.
