    Description

    An IT Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software systems within an organization, providing technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving issues with networks, applications, and devices, often including tasks like setting up new equipment, performing software upgrades, and ensuring network security.

    Key responsibilities of an IT Technician:

    Hardware and software installation:

    • Setting up and configuring new computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.

    Troubleshooting:

    • Identifying and resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access.

    Network maintenance:

    • Monitoring network performance, managing network security, and implementing network updates

    Technical support:

    • Assisting users with IT-related problems via phone, email, or in person, providing training on software applications.

    Data backup and recovery:

    • Performing regular data backups and ensuring data integrity in case of system failures

    Inventory management:

    • Keeping track of hardware and software assets within the organization

    Security updates:

    • Applying security patches and updates to systems to mitigate cyber threats
