    Video Editor Volunteer

    About Creshendo

Creshendo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering displaced populations through community-driven programs that foster self-reliance, advocacy, and cultural preservation. We’re in a powerful storytelling phase, and we’re looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to help us bring our mission to life through compelling video content for social media.

If you’re passionate about visual storytelling and want to contribute your editing skills to support global communities, we’d love to hear from you.

    Role Overview

The Video Editor will help shape Creshendo’s digital voice by creating impactful videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You’ll work with our media and communications team to edit short-form videos, reels, campaign content, and event highlights that amplify refugee stories, promote our programs, and engage new audiences.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in editing for social media, a strong eye for visual storytelling, and a desire to contribute to a meaningful cause.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Edit short-form video content for social media, fundraising campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and educational materials.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to transform raw footage into polished, engaging pieces that align with Creshendo’s branding.
    • Add captions, animations, transitions, audio, and graphics as needed to enhance viewer engagement.
    • Maintain organized video files and version control across editing projects.
    • Repurpose existing footage for different platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates should have:

    • Experience editing videos for social media or nonprofit storytelling.
    • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
    • Ability to work with brand guidelines and translate narratives into visual content.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines on a flexible schedule.
    • Experience with motion graphics or light animation is a plus.
    • Availability to dedicate at least 4–8 hours per week.

    Why Join?

    • Impact: Use your creative talents to uplift refugee voices and promote global equity.
    • Portfolio Building: Add powerful, mission-driven work to your creative portfolio.
    • Flexibility: Fully remote, flexible schedule based on your availability.
    • Creative Collaboration: Be part of a global, purpose-driven team that values innovation and storytelling.
