    Description

    Position: (Volunteer)

    Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 10 hours per week

    Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Remote/Hybrid)

    EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.

    We are seeking a proactive volunteer Workforce Development Manager to help launch and grow our new Workforce Development Program in Fort Lauderdale. This individual will research workforce needs, assist with grant writing, and build vital partnerships with employers, nonprofits, and community organizations.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Research workforce trends and employer needs.
    • Assist in grant writing and identifying funding opportunities.
    • Set up and conduct partnership and collaboration meetings.
    • Support the development of workforce training programs and initiatives.
    • Maintain records of outreach, partnerships, and participant outcomes.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Strong research, communication, and relationship building skills
    • Experience or interest in workforce development, education, or nonprofit work.
    • Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively.
    • Passion for empowering underserved communities.
