    Description

Make a meaningful difference in the life of a Holocaust survivor by becoming a Friendly Visitor Volunteer.

We need caring, committed Volunteers to visit a local Holocaust survivor in their home. Our survivor clients live throughout the NYC area and Nassau County, and you can be matched locally. Meetings are one-one one in the survivor's home.

You'll provide companionship, engage in conversation, and lend a listening ear. Activities could include board/card games; listening to or playing music - or simply engaging in conversation. Can also provide regular check in calls if you are not able to meet in person regularly.

You'll have the opportunity to develop a personal connection and contribute to the well-being and quality of life for a member of this special community.

Must be able to make a minimum 6-month commitment.
