    Are you ready to make a difference behind the scenes? As GGO’s AmeriCorps VISTA Member, you’ll work closely with our St. Louis City Director to strengthen our volunteer program and ensure mentors have everything they need to support students in Title 1 schools. From recruiting and working with volunteers to building systems that keep them supported and engaged, your work will directly impact GGO’s ability to serve students in low-income communities.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Help recruit and onboard volunteers who are excited to make a difference.
    • Create and improve systems to support and retain volunteers.
    • Develop new ways to reach and connect with potential volunteers.
    • Work with our team to ensure mentors have the tools they need to succeed.
    • Build a strong mentor network to expand GGO’s impact.

    Gateway to the Great Outdoors (GGO) gives students from low-income communities the chance to explore and learn about nature while building confidence and leadership skills. Through a mix of classroom lessons, outdoor adventures, and year-round mentoring, we help students connect with their local environment and gain the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.

    Pay: From $2,000.00 per month
