    Board Member - Social Media Lead

    Position Overview

    We seek a dedicated volunteer Board Member with social media expertise to create and manage our nonprofit's social media presence. This individual will drive our digital engagement strategy and help expand our reach to supporters, beneficiaries, and the broader community.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our mission
    • Create and manage accounts across relevant platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Produce engaging content that highlights our work, impact, and opportunities for involvement
    • Monitor social media trends and adapt our approach for maximum engagement
    • Coordinate with other board members and staff to gather content and ensure messaging consistency
    • Provide monthly analytics reports on social media performance
    • Attend regular board meetings and participate in overall governance decisions
    • Serve as the board's expert voice on digital communication strategies

    Qualifications

    • Professional experience in social media management or digital marketing
    • Demonstrated success growing engagement and audience on social platforms
    • Excellent writing and visual communication skills
    • Understanding of social media analytics and performance measurement
    • Passion for our mission and nonprofit work
    • Ability to commit 5-8 hours monthly for social media work, plus board meeting attendance
    • Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing is a plus
