Socialization and Companionship Volunteers Needed For Our Patients

Description
Our volunteers are trained through our office and are supported by the volunteer coordinator and the director. They spend time with patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and personal homes. The visits can be during the day, evening, or on weekends.
The volunteer's role is to spend some time with the patient, maybe reading to them, playing a game, singing, sharing stories with each other and other meaningful options that help brighten the patient's day. Sometimes a caregiver needs someone to sit with the patient while they go pick up groceries and run errands.
We welcome anyone that can provide a least two-three hours a month with the patient. We will find the perfect match for you! Our organization has the highest admiration for our volunteers; we NEED YOU AND WE APPRECIATE YOU!
