    Description

    Family Transportation Drivers for Refugee Summer Camp

    Our refugee family summer camp needs volunteer drivers to help with safely transporting refugee parents and youth to and from their homes and our camp running Tuesdays and Thursdays June 25th – July 25th. Morning drivers are needed between 9am-10am, and afternoon drivers from 3pm - 4pm.

    The camp will be held at 1100 Montaño Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Family home locations will vary.

    Volunteers for transportation must have a valid driver's license; access to a vehicle that is roadworthy/reliable; and possess auto insurance that meets the state minimum requirements.

    This family summer camp supports families who have been resettled through the US refugee program in Albuquerque within the last few years. It offers a variety of interactive educational lessons and activities for both parents and youth of all ages. Classes/activities include ESL for adults and kids, reading/literacy for young children, arts and crafts, computer classes for adults and teens, financial literacy, nature classes, gardening, wellness classes (mental health, yoga, tennis, healthy living for brain and body, and sports activities), and videography for teens.
