Illuminate Colorado strengthens families, organizations, and communities to

prevent child maltreatment. Illuminate is located in Denver, Colorado and

provides services statewide.

We are seeking passionate, dedicated individuals representing multi-cultural

perspectives and/or life experiences to join our Board of Directors. Board

members provide strategic vision, oversight, and resources to help further the

mission of Illuminate.

Current priorities for Board of Directors recruitment include:

● Individuals with relationships with private philanthropy, including

family foundations and corporate foundations

● Individuals with nonprofit development or event expertise, including

corporate partnerships and sponsorships

● Individuals with best practice human resource management expertise

● Individuals with public relations or marketing expertise

● Individuals with subject matter expertise in strengthening families

● Individuals with lived expertise related to Illuminate’s mission

The Illuminate Board of Directors meets quarterly throughout the year, with a

retreat in the fall and quarterly committee meetings. Board meetings are

typically held remotely with 2 meetings per year in person at the Illuminate

Colorado Office in Denver. In addition, board members are expected to attend

significant Illuminate events and contribute financially to the organization.
