    Description

    • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
    • Multimedia Specialist are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
    • STW™ welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunity. STW™ shall provide "letter of recommendation" professionals who demonstrate outstanding contribution for professional references.

    SUMMARY:

    The Multimedia Specialist supports the development and production of multimedia materials for the Marketing and Education Group. This role is ideal for a creative, self-motivated individual passionate about using media to educate and inspire.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with team members on multimedia content for educational and public awareness initiatives.
    • Develop videos, social media content, promotional graphics, and virtual assets.
    • Ensure compliance with copyright, quality standards, and ADA requirements.
    • Contribute to user and donor experience by designing interactive and engaging content.
    • Assist with virtual events and support digital media for internal and external presentations.
    • Maintain brand alignment in all media content.
    • Research new tools and trends in media design to enhance content creation.
    • Organize and source multimedia assets (e.g., royalty-free images, videos, graphics).

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Passion for creating media that has a positive social impact.
    • Strong time management and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a virtual team.
    • Comfort with raising concerns and collaborating to find solutions.
    • Proficiency in Google Suite (and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Communications, Media, Motion Pictures, Digital Marketing, or the equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Candidates without a degree who demonstrate strong relevant skills and experience are also encouraged to apply.

    A solid understanding of copyright, copywriting, APA style, and environmental or natural sciences is a plus.
