    Description

    ACEing Autism is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping children with autism grow through social connection and fitness. We offer volunteer run fun tennis clinics for children ages 5-18. Sessions focus on having fun!

    We teach tennis to kids with autism from 3-5 pm on Sundays at Centennial Park in Arlington Heights.

    Summer session: June 8,15,22,29 July 6,13,20

    Volunteers will receive a training and then be paired with a participant to help them through the motions of the game of tennis through various drills and games. We help these children learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and we also help them have fun, make friends and connections, and get exercise.

    How to Apply

    Step 2: Registration / Login

    Returning Volunteers: Log in to your account & reset the password if needed.

    New Volunteers: Click “Sign Up!” on the login page and complete the registration.

    Step 3: Complete your Qualifications

    If you have not yet completed your waivers & background check, please follow the instructions

    below.

    1. Waivers

    a. Click on the Volunteer Opportunity link in Step 3 and click the blue “Respond”

    button. Follow the instructions to submit your waivers.

    b. Volunteers under 18 years old: Waivers will require a parent signature; ensure

    that you enter their email when prompted.

    1. Background Check

    a. After signing the waivers, click the same blue “Respond” button and follow the

    instructions to complete your background check.

    b. Volunteers under 18 years old: Do not complete a background check. Wait for

    the next work day (Mon-Fri) for staff to add a user tag to your account, bypassing

    the background check.
