Grant researcher and Writer unpaid

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Volunteer Grant Researcher & Writer to support our fundraising efforts by identifying potential grant opportunities and crafting compelling proposals. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop grant writing skills, gain nonprofit experience, and contribute to a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities:

Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources

Maintain an organized database of prospects and deadlines

Write clear, persuasive, and tailored grant proposals and letters of inquiry

Assist with gathering required documents, data, and organizational information for applications

Collaborate with the leadership team to align proposals with program goals and funding needs

Qualifications:

Excellent written communication skills

Strong research skills and attention to detail

Ability to synthesize information into clear, concise narratives

Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational abilities

(Preferred) Experience with grant research databases or platforms such as Foundation Directory Online is a plus
