    Volunteer Journalist — Northern Ireland

    Shared Future News is an online publication that reports on peacebuilding work in Northern Ireland and wants to update and publish new content. Its website includes news articles and stories about peacebuilding work, concise research articles, and a chronology of the peace process and community relations policy. This content is provided to inform audiences interested in the Northern Ireland peace process particularly and intercommunal relations, diversity, and equality generally.

    Project goals

    Refreshing existing and drafting new research articles and chronology will make learning about various aspects of peacebuilding efforts in Northern Ireland easier. In addition, Shared Future News would like to achieve these goals: 

    1. Be an online source of news about events and stories of peacebuilding individuals and projects, by writing new articles (c. 750 words), in a style of constructive journalism
    2. Increase the scope of knowledge of peacebuilding, by editing existing and writing new research articles (c. 1,500-2,500 words, written in clear English with website hyperlinks but no footnotes)
    3. Provide analysis of relevant literature, by writing concise and relevant reviews (c. 750 words)
    4. Use appropriate still image, video, and audio media to bring information to life
