    Description

    Dynamite Girls International (DGI) is a grassroots nonprofit committed to equipping girls and under-resourced youth with the leadership tools, mentorship, and community support they need to thrive. Since 2021, we have worked with students in public schools across Ghana, delivering transformational programs that center identity, purpose, and impact. We believe in creating a world where every girl knows she is powerful, capable, and seen.

    About the Fellowship:

    We are relaunching and building a passionate, mission-driven team to lead our next chapter. The DGI Leadership Fellowship is a 6–12 month, part-time volunteer opportunity for individuals committed to youth empowerment, education equity, and social impact.

    This fellowship is open to:

    • Students, recent graduates, early-career professionals
    • Mid-career and professional individuals seeking purpose-driven volunteer leadership roles
    • Anyone passionate about youth, education, and gender equity

    Available Roles:

    • Country Coordinator (Ghana-based)
    • Programs & Curriculum Lead
    • Volunteer Manager
    • Communications & Social Media Lead

    1.Country Coordinator (Ghana-based)

    As the on-the-ground leader in Ghana, the Country Coordinator will ensure that all programs are implemented smoothly, in alignment with DGI’s mission and goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary liaison between local schools, volunteers, and the international team
    • Coordinate schedules, logistics, and transportation for school-based sessions and community activities
    • Supervise program implementation in schools across assigned districts
    • Conduct regular check-ins with volunteer facilitators and mentors
    • Monitor attendance, student engagement, and program outcomes
    • Collect media (photos, videos, testimonials) and session feedback for reporting
    • Represent DGI in stakeholder meetings with school leadership, district officials, and partners
    • Provide biweekly progress updates and written reports to the founder or program director

    2.Programs & Curriculum Lead

    This person will take the lead in designing and refining all program content to ensure it is impactful, inclusive, and culturally relevant for youth in Ghana.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design age-appropriate, leadership-based content for both girls and boys
    • Integrate mentorship and identity-building elements into session plans
    • Adapt existing materials and develop new content based on student needs and school context
    • Collaborate with volunteers and facilitators to pilot and refine sessions
    • Create facilitator guides, handouts, and presentation decks
    • Provide virtual or in-person training for volunteers and mentors
    • Collect feedback to continuously improve curriculum design
    • Ensure alignment with DGI’s mission and vision for transformational leadership

    3.Volunteer Manager

    This fellow is the glue that holds the team together responsible for recruiting, onboarding, supporting, and celebrating DGI’s community of volunteers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute volunteer recruitment strategies
    • Conduct screening calls, interviews, and onboarding sessions
    • Maintain a clear volunteer database and schedule
    • Assign volunteers to schools, roles, and responsibilities based on skill and availability
    • Support volunteers with training materials, guidance, and weekly communication
    • Resolve scheduling issues, concerns, and provide ongoing encouragement
    • Organize monthly volunteer check-ins and recognition activities
    • Track volunteer attendance and feedback for evaluation purposes

    4.Communications & Social Media Lead

    This fellow will be responsible for shaping the public image of Dynamite Girls International through storytelling, social media, and digital content.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and grow DGI’s presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
    • Plan and schedule regular content aligned with campaigns and events
    • Design visually appealing graphics using Canva or similar tools
    • Collect stories, quotes, photos, and videos from the field to highlight DGI’s impact
    • Work with the founder to draft blog posts, newsletters, and announcements
    • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages on social channels
    • Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to spotlight team members and fellows
    • Contribute to donor and sponsor communication by providing compelling content
