About Us:

Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization saving the lives of abandoned and abused dogs and cats across California and Mexico. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, we give animals a second chance. Our work is made possible by a passionate team—and powerful storytelling.

Role Summary:

Are you handy, organized, and passionate about animal welfare? As an On-Site Maintenance & Set-Up Volunteer, you’ll help ensure that our rescue space is safe, secure, and comfortable for the animals in our care. Your work behind the scenes helps make everything else possible—from daily routines to emergency rescues.

You will:

• Assist with setting up and maintaining fencing, shade, and storage areas
• Help keep the rescue space clean, organized, and functional
• Conduct minor repairs and improvements to improve animal safety and comfort
• Support logistics during facility upgrades and new dog arrivals

What We’re Looking For:

• Based in or able to travel to Playas de Tijuana
• Comfortable working outdoors and with basic tools
• Reliable, safety-minded, and proactive
