    Description

    As our Proofreader, you will be responsible for editing and refining written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness. Your work will directly contribute to our mission by ensuring that our messages are concise, professional, and compelling. You will also need to participate in a monthly meeting. We may meet more than once a month in certain circumstances. If you can't join for whatever reason, please email the head, Isaac Tate, about it in advance. You are not expected to do all of these. Different proofreaders will do different things, depending on which are already being done.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Content Review & Editing

    • Proofread and edit blog posts, reports, newsletters, social media captions, and website content.
    • Correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors.
    • Ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency in writing style and tone.

    Fact-Checking & Accuracy

    • Verify statistics, references, and claims in written materials.
    • Ensure that scientific and environmental terminology is used correctly.

    Brand Consistency

    • Ensure all written materials align with PPI’s voice, tone, and messaging.
    • Maintain a consistent style guide for content across all platforms.

    Collaboration & Feedback

    • Work with writers, content creators, and marketing teams to refine content.
    • Provide constructive feedback to help improve the quality of written materials.
