    Description

Help build trust through meaningful stories

Creshendo’s Storytelling Project shares real experiences from migrants and refugees through powerful visuals like animation and illustration. At the core of this work is relationship-building. We believe that every story begins with trust.

We’re looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to help us connect with individuals from migrant communities who are open to sharing their stories. You will be the first point of contact, building relationships with care, conducting sensitive interviews, and maintaining a well-organized archive for our creative team.

If you’re someone who knows how to listen with empathy and lead with respect, this role is a meaningful way to support storytelling that centers dignity and truth.

    What you’ll do:

    • Design and lead an outreach approach that is grounded in trust and consent
    • Reach out to individuals from migrant communities who may want to share their stories
    • Conduct interviews that are culturally sensitive and emotionally aware
    • Stay in thoughtful communication with contributors throughout the process
    • Maintain a secure and organized database of contacts and story materials
    • Act as the main link between participants and our internal project team

    What we’re looking for:

    • Experience in community outreach, advocacy, or relationship-based work
    • Strong listening skills and the ability to hold space for sensitive stories
    • Awareness of or connection to migrant or refugee communities
    • Comfort with one-on-one communication and interviewing
    • Strong organizational habits and attention to confidentiality
    • 6 to 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule

    Why this matters:

    • You’ll help make sure every story we share begins with care, respect, and consent. Your work will allow us to tell honest stories that reflect lived experiences and build bridges across communities.

To Apply: Send your resume to info@creshendo.org and copy klara@creshendo.org . Include your time zone, general availability, and a short note about why this role speaks to you.

Creshendo welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds.
