    Description

Calling all students passionate about climate change, animal welfare, public health, and social justice! Are you ready to make a real-world impact toward ending factory farming?

Apply to New Roots Institute’s summer Leadership Academy, a virtual six-week educational fellowship designed for high school and college students who are eager to create a sustainable, ethical food system for people, animals, and the planet.

By participating in the Leadership Academy, you’ll build the knowledge, skills, and relationships to challenge industrial animal agriculture and drive meaningful change both on your campus and within your community. As a fellow, you will:

    • Dive deep into the issues: Explore the impacts of our food system through interactive workshops and learn how these issues connect with your values and interests.
    • Grow your leadership skills: Discover your leadership style and develop the confidence to lead advocacy projects that normalize plant-based eating.
    • Join a community of changemakers: Collaborate with and learn from policymakers, journalists, innovators, and health experts in the movement to amplify your impact.
    • Build your own advocacy campaign: Put your ideas into action by building an advocacy campaign that shifts attitudes, behaviors, and policies away from factory farming, and launch this campaign during the academic year.
