    Affordable Homeownership Manager

    Community Grants, Planning & Housing (CGP&H) is seeking a full-time Affordable Homeownership Manager to lead a team focused on all aspects of the affordable housing ownership programs we administer. This position will be part of a dynamic team implementing a wide range of affordable housing initiatives throughout the state of New Jersey.

    What the Affordable Homeownership Manager will do:

    This Affordable Homeownership Manager position will have oversight responsibility over all affordable housing ownership initiatives, including contacting applicants for affordable housing sale opportunities, working with sellers of affordable homes, affordable home sale closing activities for new sales and resales, affordability assistance activities, and other affordable housing ownership-related programs. Specific duties include:

    • Supervise 3 affordable housing coordinators
    • Ensure staff are responsive to requests, such as processing Intent to Sell requests from affordable homeowners
    • Manage volume and scheduling of closings
    • Ensure quality control of documents produced by the team, including important affordable sale closing documents.
    • Oversee Refinance Requests
    • Lead special affordable housing sale programs
    • Uphold company policies and procedures

    What our expectations are for the ideal candidate:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a 2-year Associates degree with relevant experience
    • Experience meeting multiple deadlines in fast paced environments
    • Prior experience of at least 2 years in the banking, mortgage, title, escrow, real estate fields
    • Demonstratable experience supervising teams
    • Strong work ethic with attention to detail
    • Sound judgement and sensitivity to the special circumstances of homeowners who qualify for our programs
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Experience with Salesforce a plus
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Dynamic multi-tasking ability
    • Must be willing to travel throughout the state of New Jersey to attend closings as needed
    • Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
    • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
