Foundation Management Associates provides internal accounting, financial management and administrative support services primarily to non-profit organizations. Our internal accounting and bookkeeping services are rather unique in the non-profit sector, in that we provide a comprehensive package of services ranging from bookkeeping to CFO-level, each designed to meet our clients’ specific needs. We provide the accounting system design and setup, day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly accounting, and we manage their annual audit process for them as well. We also provide guidance and other assistance to the organization’s management and board of directors as needed.
Most importantly, our fees are cost effective and are based on a budget-friendly fixed fee schedule. In fact, our fees are often no more than the cost of a good bookkeeper or accountant, especially when employee benefits, computer technology, supervision and real estate costs associated with this staff are taken into consideration. In other words, our clients receive the full services of an internal accounting department but only for the amount of time they need, and it is all rolled up into one low monthly fee. Some of our clients have described us as their “Accounting Department in a Box”, providing a one-stop-shopping solution for their internal accounting needs.
We pride ourselves in working closely with our clients to identify their unique financial reporting needs, and we design a reporting system to meet those specific requirements. We also believe in building flexibility into these systems as well, to allow for future changes and scalability. Most importantly, we build strong, effective internal control procedures, or checks and balances, into these systems to assure the best possible security over our clients’ financial resources.
CPA firms who provide audit and tax services appreciate the services we provide to our clients as well. We understand and anticipate the CPA firm’s needs and we can provide them with a tailored electronic package of supporting audit workpapers and documentation that significantly streamlines the audit process for them. We complement the audit process by working closely with the CPA firm to help them achieve the most efficient audit process possible.
