    The MDPH Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity (NPAO) program is housed within the Division of Prevention and Wellness at the MA Department of Public Health. The NPAO program is funded by federal grant to reduce the prevalance of overweight and obesity among MA residents by increasing rates of physical activity, increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables, increasing the initiation, duration and exclusivity of breastfeeding, decreasing the consumption of sugar sweetened beverages and high energy dense foods and decreasing screen time.
