Mesa County Sheriff's Office Victim Advocate Program

Grand Junction, CO

  • About Us

The Victim Advocate Program at the Mesa County Sheriff's Office provides on-scene, in-person assistance and advocacy to victims of crime and other traumatic incidents when called upon by Sheriff's Deputies.  Our volunteers are men and women, young and not-as-young adults from all walks of life.  No experience is necessary.  We provide extensive training and practice.  A sense of compassion and desire to help people in the immediate aftermath of a terrible incident are the skills necessary and a valid drivers license and insurance are also required.  We provide mileage reimbursement for callouts.
