  • About Us

    The Juvenile Department works with all youth under age 18 within Washington County who committed a law violation. We offer volunteers the opportunity to be matched with an at-risk youth to act as their mentor. Mentors assist the youth in reaching individual goals such as academic success, locating employment, teaching social and life skills, and engaging in positive, pro-social activities. Mentors are matched with a youth based on personality and mutual interests. The time commitment is 8 hours per month for a minimum of six months. All applicants must pass criminal and driving records check.
