City of New York, Analytics Division, Mayor's Office of Policy and Strategic Planning

The Analytics Unit of the Mayor's Office of Policy and Strategic Planning is dedicated to using cross-agency data analysis to combat municipal problems such as property fraud, structural fire, illegal conversions, and prescription drug abuse. The unit assists with allocation of enforcement resources and prioritization of inspection and audit actions by various City agencies and the City's five District Attorney's offices. Created in December 2009, the Analytics Unit is focused on creating cross-agency data transparency in order to make more informed operational decisions to root out fraud and waste.
