    The Palms Neighborhood Council is the elected body of volunteers representing the Palms area of the City of Los Angeles. Sanctioned by the LA City Charter of 1999, and finally certified by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment in 2005, all stakeholders are welcome to participate in frequent, public meetings held locally. It is the mission of the Palms Neighborhood Council to promote community engagement and economic development; pursue the creation of green-space and bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly areas; and actively support local schools.
