    About Uplift Solutions

    Uplift Solutions is a nonprofit organization committed to reducing barriers to reentry for justice-involved individuals in Pennsylvania. We provide returning citizens with job training, record-clearing services, and workforce development programs in fields like retail, HVAC, and CDL careers. Our work has helped hundreds of individuals successfully reintegrate into society and build pathways to success.

    As we continue expanding our impact, we are looking for passionate individuals who want to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, social innovation, and criminal justice reform.

    Who We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking motivated, independent, and impact-driven interns who are eager to learn, problem-solve, and contribute to meaningful projects focused on criminal justice reform and reentry.

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Research and analytical skills, particularly related to criminal justice issues
      • Organizational and project management abilities
      • Ability to work both independently and in a team
      • Comfortable with digital platforms, CRM systems, and data management
      • Experience with social media engagement is a plus (photo/video posting, caption writing, increasing visibility)
      • Proficiency in SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred

    What You’ll Do

    As an Uplift intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

      • Program Development & Evaluation – Research, design, and assess programs that support the reintegration of returning citizens into society.
      • Data & Reporting – Work with our database to manage data, run reports, and organize critical program information related to justice-involved individuals.
      • Event Planning & Outreach – Assist with organizing conferences, workshops, and record-clearing events to support reentry efforts.
      • Grant & Report Writing – Support the preparation of grant applications and impact reports for criminal justice programs.
      • Marketing & Community Engagement – Help increase Uplift’s presence by connecting with local nonprofits, businesses, and organizations in the criminal justice sector.
      • Strategic Projects – Contribute to initiatives that directly impact the success of our mission to support justice-involved individuals.
