    Description

    About America’s Voice:

The mission of America’s Voice (AV) and America’s Voice Education Fund (AVEF) is to push for policy change that guarantees full labor, civil, and political rights for immigrants and their families. We work in partnership with progressive, faith-based, labor, civil rights, and grassroots groups, networks, and leaders to advance policies and legislation that stabilize the lives of 11 million Americans-in-waiting and put them on the road to full citizenship.

    Position Summary:

The Digital Intern will work closely with AV staff and consultants to support our digital communications and online engagement efforts. Responsibilities include assisting with social media management, email marketing, and website updates, as well as supporting the creation and execution of digital campaigns. The role also involves drafting and editing content for various digital platforms and analyzing engagement metrics. This internship will provide valuable experience in nonprofit digital strategy, content creation, and online communications.

While this internship primarily focuses on digital work, it will also involve general research tasks and data entry responsibilities that support broader organizational needs. This provides interns with a well-rounded experience and exposure to various aspects of the organization's operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Content Creation – Assist in creating engaging social media posts and graphics aligned with our branding.
    • Social Media Management – Help schedule, publish, and monitor posts across platforms (e.g., Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X).
    • Analytics & Reporting – Track social media and website metrics, compile reports on engagement, and suggest improvements based on performance.
    • Website Updates – Support the team in updating website content using WordPress, such as blog posts.
    • Competitor & Trend Research – Conduct research on industry trends, metrics, and activity to inform content strategy.
    • Organizational Research – Support broader initiatives by gathering information on relevant topics, programs, and stakeholders to inform internal projects and outreach efforts.
    • Data Entry & Maintenance – Assist with entering, organizing, and updating data across various platforms and spreadsheets to ensure accurate and accessible records for the organization.

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Passion for the Cause: Interest/familiarity with the pro-immigrant narrative and immigration as an issue are ideal but not required.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
    • Research Skills: Ability to research digital trends, target audiences, platform best practices, and opportunities for online engagement and growth.
    • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently, with attention to detail.
    • Creativity and Initiative: Ability to bring new ideas to the table and be proactive in contributing to different strategies.

    Benefits:

    • Remote-first work environment
    • Flexible schedule
    • Compensation: $17.95/hour OR course credit
    • Duration: position begins ASAP, end date is flexible
