Community Engagement Director

We are seeking a Community Engagement Director to work closely with the Executive Director (ED) to co-create and implement the strategy for our community engagement program. They would support the teachers and partner sites in sustaining and developing long term relationships to continue providing sliding scale adaptive dance education to diverse populations across greater Boston. They would also support in building new partnerships with one time workshops or year round partners to continue expanding our programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The demands of the position change on a daily basis but often require sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The position will include periods of driving to off-site meetings, and a personal vehicle is strongly recommended. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and occasional evening and weekend work, with flexible hours to ensure balance in overall capacity. Accommodations to these physical demands and work environment can be made as long as the person in the position still completes the essential functions of the job.

This position does include a 90 day trial period to evaluate performance and cultural fit within the team. ED may conduct a 30-day review, a midpoint assessment, and a final 90-day evaluation to ensure the employee is meeting performance expectations.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
This is a one year at-will contract, with an option to extend pending grant funding and overall success in the role. The salary is $50,000 at 40 hrs/week. While it is not quite where we would like it to be, we have benefits to compensate. The hours are flexible and hybrid. (In person responsibilities will be largely dependent on teacher/site needs and workshop dates.) There will also be special events/performances that you would have at least a month in advance to prepare for. There is 100% employer paid health insurance (excluding dental/dependents); 2 weeks PTO with 4 weeks company wide closures; IRA with 3% employer matching; and flexibility residing anywhere in the state of MA to offset rising Boston living costs as long as able to commute into sites when needed without additional compensation.
