Introduction

Californians for the Advancement of Midwifery (CAM) is pleased to share its Request for Proposals for a Fractional Executive Director position with Californians for the Advancement of Midwifery (CAM). This announcement represents an exciting milestone in CAM’s evolution as we prepare to implement our comprehensive 2025-2027 strategic plan and build on the support and momentum we have garnered for our vision.

The information below is an overview of the CAM Executive Director role, which is a contract position with CAM. Applicants for this role must be able to meet all the legal requirements of being an independent contractor within the State of California.

Brief Summary of Role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) of Californians for the Advancement of Midwifery (CAM), the selected contractor will guide implementation of our four strategic goals: supporting a diverse midwifery workforce, educating the public about midwifery options, advancing supportive policies, and strengthening organizational capacity.

Submitting a Response to Our RFP

Your proposal should be prepared with the expectation of a 12-month contractual relationship beginning in fall of 2025, with the potential for renewal. CAM reserves the right to terminate the relationship at any time with 30-days prior written notice. Preference will be given to candidates based in California.
