Save One Life is an international
sponsorship organization that supports more than 1300 people with bleeding
disorders around the world. Hemophilia is rare, but its effects without proper treatment are devastating; social stigma, disability, and daily pain are all realities for people living with the disorder in places where resources are scarce. Founded in 2001 by Laureen A. Kelley, mother with a
child with hemophilia, its mission is to improve the quality of life of people
with bleeding disorders and their families at the grassroots level in
developing countries, though direct assistance in the form of sponsorships,
scholarships, micro-enterprise grants and other programs. More than 400
individuals and organizations from 12 countries are Save One Life sponsors.
