AmeriCorps South Alabama Emergency Response Team

  • About Us

RT Members focus on both critical life safety needs in a disaster and on meeting long term recovery needs. Members are on-call 24-7, and can be deployed for up to six weeks at a time.

In preparation for the unthinkable, ERT Members train neighborhood residents, other national service members and students in safety and preparedness, as well as in CPR and First Aid.

Between emergency assignments, Members will act as stewards of our natural resources in cooperation with the Alabama Department of Conservation, Department of Natural Resources, the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service.
