    Animal Aid Society rescues and treats injured or ill animals in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Three veterinary doctors and 10 support staff guided by trustees provide free service to all ownerless animals in this city of 600,000. AAS was founded in 2002 by two Americans from Seattle, WA. AAS has an animal hospital to which street dogs are brought to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies and then returned to the street. Two rescue vehicles respond to calls on the "Help Line". Camels, monkeys, cows, snakes, dogs, elephants, birds, and donkeys are treated on the street or returned to the hospital.
