    Franciscan Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through approppriate and compassionate care, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.

    Volunteers offer emotional and practical support to terminal patients and their families. They offer companionship, respite, life review,visits to nursing homes or Hospice House, errands, transportation, program support, and many other supports. Volunteers give about 4 hours of support each week. They receive comprehensive training and support for their role.
