Knowbility is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999. Our mission is to support the independence of children and adults with disabilities through accessible information technology - barrier free IT!
The potential exists for technology to transform the lives of 55 million Americans,(750 million worldwide)with disabilities - IF it is designed accessibly. The tools and techniques are readily available and Knowbility mobilizes communities around the powerful idea of universal access. Join us as we pursue our mission through three sets of nationally award-winning services:
- Awareness programs, including the Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) which is being replicated in cities throughout the United States.
- Community training programs, including ATSTAR teacher-training, helps schools and community technology projects include students with disabilities in learning activities.
- Consulting services, including accessibility audits and training to help organizations meet federal government and other institutional mandates for accessibility.
