About Us

Emergent Thought recognizes that the conventional ways of solving our pressing environmental and social problems- namely, the passing of ever more laws and the shuffling of ever more money- are effectively pointless. These methods, often espoused by political leaders, only mitigate symptoms for a few years or decades but ultimately leave the problems intact. Rather than offer more pointless technical and fiscal advice, Emergent Thought seeks to question society’s latent values and assumptions about the nature of reality that perpetuate the problems we’re facing today. It seeks to offer a paradigm-level understanding of systems and relationships in our lives and to offer ideas for change seeped in values, story, and art.
