About Us

Semiperm is a unique single-parent community created by Settlement Housing Fund. Located in the Upper West Side, this two to five year housing program offers low-income, single parents and their children the opportunity to become economically and personally self-sufficient through integrated programs.

Semiperm’s programs are structured around four competency areas: Financial Literacy, Parenting, Mental and Emotional Health and Health and Nutrition. We believe that by developing skills in these areas, families will increase their self-sufficiency. Programs are designed to enhance proficiency in one or more of the areas.

Semiperm is designed to meet the unique needs of our residents. We have the ability to examine the individual causes of homelessness and address them with specifically tailored programs and services. Our program staff work together to ensure that programs and services are complementary and that the individual work with residents supports the group work and vice versa.
