Improve educational standards and infrastructure in the southern African state of Zambia with the view of building developmental capacity. Zambia is one of the poorest communities in the World. Annual household incomes average $360 meaning the average Zambian family survives on less than a dollar a day. Infrastructure is mainly poorly developed as a result, students do without such basics as books, pencils, blackboards, seriously limiting the potential in education. We put the emphasis on education because it is empowering. It gives people the knowledge, skill and attitude to be active members of their communities. Unfortunately, Zambia is also one of the worst affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. An estimated 1 in 7 is either HIV positive or living with full blown AIDS. Counseling support is minimal if any at all meaning individuals and communities are fighting an enemy they do not know. ProjectEducate focuses on empowering people with the tools they need to improve their lives be they material, financial and technical.
